About This Piece
This is a single pair of pantyhose from waist to toe, but the ribbed knit is worked in two tones, a lighter heather grey through the thigh and a deeper black below the knee, so from a distance it reads as thigh-high socks layered over tights.
It's a clever bit of visual trickery that vintage hosiery used to do a lot of, giving you the layered look without an actual second garment to keep pulled up.
